The LogicPulse has a set of solutions that allow the identification of live animals of any kind and with the most varied purposes.
In the case of animals that going to slaughter to enter in the food chain, the advantages are related to location and tracing of animals for veterinary purposes (which is very important for the control of infectious diseases) and the traceability of meat for health reasons.
For pets, the RFID identification has many advantages like, for example, ensure and monitoring the race registration and antecedents, protecting animals against theft or trade (ensuring that the animal "A" belongs to the person " B), control vaccines, among others.

Animal identification
This animal identification can be done in four different ways: necklaces, earrings, injection chips or ingerible chips (bolus).
- Necklaces – are easy to be applied and transferred from one animal to another and are generally used within a company.
- Earrings – Are the lower costs and it can be read at a distance of up to one meter.
- Injection tags – Are placed under the animal skin with an applicator similar to a syringe.
- Ingerible tags – Are pills coated with a ceramic, cylindrical and resistant to acid and it can stay in the stomach off the animal throughout its life.

RFID earring
The animal identification, using RFID, is already obligatory in some situations. Although, and according to some European directives, it is expected that this requirement will be progressively expanded in the next years.
